Born and raised in rural New York, Leanna spent her childhood in 4-H clubs, developing a deep respect for the land — along with the people who tend it. Growing up in a small town, she was often in the room for local meetings long before she had a vote — watching budgets get debated and decisions get made, and learning early what it takes to run a town well.
That instinct grew into a career. Leanna holds two degrees in management and has spent her professional life in resource management and operations — the kind of work built on spreadsheets, budgets, and getting complicated things done efficiently. It’s given her a practical, hands-on understanding of how administration actually works, and where taxpayer dollars go.
Healthy communities and healthy farms have a lot in common: they both need tending, protecting, and people willing to show up, season after season. As your Town Supervisor, Leanna promises to put in the hard work required to protect our farmland, and build community along the way.
